![]() I'd even post pictures of what I'm trying to do. This is where you route the video and power wires for the camera. Once the tail gate is removed you drill an 11/16' hole in the tailgate sill and a corresponding hole in the bed sill. I'm SURE there's differences between the models, but if anyone has a video (I've googled and can't find squat) or "how to", that would be great. The bezel install is pretty straightforward, you remove one bolt from the inside of the tailgate and pop out the bezel. Once I can get into the wheel area (easy enough in terms of popping open the little storage bins"), running the rest of the cable is easy (I've already run the SiriusXM antenna/receiver). I'm wondering how "easy" it will be (ha!) to run the wire through the little "hose" thingy in the liftgate so it enters the actual interior of the vehicle. I'm looking at a BOYO license-plate style mount, but I still have to run the wire through the liftgate (that's where it connects and you tap into the reverse lights for power and such), and then run another wire from there all the way to the front of the vehicle for the head unit (Pioneer AVH-4000NEX in my case). There was one part of this install that made my stomach twist I drilled a hole under the cap for the wires to run inside the tailgate and out the bottom (. Granted, I have an ancient, 2005 Equinox, but I'm curious as to how you removed the rear liftgate panel to get to the wiring and attach the camera? Simply mount the camera on any flat surface and run the cable to your factory backup camera connection for a simple and seamless installation. Use this camera for cab and chassis trucks that did not come with a bed from the factory. What I don't know is if the factory wiring under the rear bumper has everything needed to power the camera and run the camera's signal to the front, or if I'm going to have. The rear view mirror itself was replaced with one that supports the backup camera feed. Please see the compatibility tab for more information! On the back of the rear view mirror's connector, the blue and white wire are present. For the monitor we just selected an ignition wire for power and I had an old unused Garmin GPS mount disc that just happened to fit. I'm going to use the 12-volt constant and the reverse wire from the 7-pin plug and then find a ground on the frame. I'm going to make my own kit but I'm going to use the wiring directions for the kit. Your truck must be prewired and programmed for a camera or this kit will not work. I have a 2011 Silverado Crew Cab LT without a backup camera. I was looking at wiring diagrams for the 7-pin and came across WhiteNight's website with wiring instructions for their kit. This is a plug and play camera kit that will allow you to add a camera to a cab and chassis truck that has been pre-wired at the factory and has a factory display that is already programmed for a camera. See the compatibility tab for details before purchasing this kit. This kit is for Cab and Chassis vehicles only and these are rare so chances are you need the non-Cab and Chassis version.
